This web site is devoted to those Mac lovers out there that love icons. Icons are a student's best friend. They may be used as an organizational tool or as a stress reliever. They're fun. They make sitting in front of a computer for hours at a time more bearable. Icons are especially popular on networks, such as Swarthmore's. Most students have "drop boxes" or "shared folders" in which you can always find icons. Now, you can just visit this site to find pre-made icons ready for download, or you can use icon maker applications and the easy-to-follow step by step instructions to create your own icons. It's addictive, we know! So, check out our site. Sign in and let us know what you like and don't like in the Guest Book. Have fun! Also, if you are not familiar with how to move icons around on the Mac OS, just check out this guide first, before attempting to understand any of the following pages.
"A fundamental object in Macintosh software is the ICON, a small graphic object that is usually symbolic of an operation or of a larger entity such as a document. Icons can contribute greatly to the clarity and attractiveness of an application."
