Reviews of Classes taught by William Turpin of the Classics Department |

I took this class because of scary experiences with high school modern language teachers (i.e. for no particular reason) but I ended up loving it. Turpin seems to really enjoy teaching and is very responsive to the needs of students in this very small class. The curriculum goes by pretty quickly, but the worksheets for the class and lots of help and suggestions, as well as the small, seminar-like atmosphere make it easy to keep up. The subject matter was inevitably interesting -- it's impossible not to be interested when the professor is so focused on making sure you learn. Great prof, great class. |
