Pete Krebs is a singer-songwriter of extraordinary talent and passion, drawing on many music forms to create his own. He's also pretty dang busy, what with his role as the lead singer and guitar player of the indie-pop-punk band Hazel, his solo career, and his role in the bluegrass band Golden Delicious. Jeez! All three incarnations of Mr. Krebs produce exellent music, genre-hopping with grace.
With Portland, Oregon as his home, Mr. Krebs has been an active member of the local music scene for years. The first Hazel album was released in 1993, after years of playing the fabled X-Ray Cafe, La Luna, and other small venues in Portland. With this history, the connections Krebs has formed are many. Liner note thanks are extended to dozens of bands and band members, some of the more well known being Pond, Crackerbash, Thirty Ought Six, members of The New Bad Things, The Spinanes, Heatmiser, Velocity Girl, and The Surf Maggots.
