Zeolites

The many cavities in LTA, a zeolite, are clearly visible in this diagram.

One group of materials we are particularly interested in studying is
the zeolites. Zeolites are formed from
oxygen, sodium, and aluminum, and are widely used in many industries.
However, they have many subtle defects and irregularities that require a
sensitive probe to study their structures. All zeolites have cavities, and many have ions
which create weak electric fields. We
want to know how positronium will behave under these conditions.
