We are but drifters from another time — this world too harsh too clay for unlearned hands too easy early errors are to make while life rests breathless on the threaded maze this world too full of lurid livid scenes where what we make outnumbers what we dream we are pale ciphers to barest shell reduced is this our world or yours? we will not claim it — take it! we are the jellyfish unbound — transient waif in a torn nightgown your face embossed on gelatinous memory like sandcastles washing out the sea breezes waft — sun drying salt and tears like the sea we are gone — again gone you fade and we were never really here
