How Do I Love Thee? (A Calculation)
A parody of How Do I Love Thee? Let Me Count the Ways by Elizabeth Barrett Browning
How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I'll try to count them on my hands and feet
And, let's assume that my love is discrete,
Arrange them into linked lists and arrays
And other mathematical clichés.
But analytically, my love's replete
With subspaces compact, dense and complete.
I'll share with you a short proof that displays
My love for you's greater than epsilon.
And I will show to you without delay
That, function transformations undergone,
My love for you will never go away.
I'll wish you, now, before I make you yawn:
A mathematical Valentine's Day!
