Thank you for visiting! I conceived Intersect as a nexus for community at a scale that lends itself to close cooperation on on everyday tasks. Particularly here in Sebastopol, where a relatively high percentage of homes have computers in them, the internet can become a tool for reestablishing the kinds of cooperation that constituted community in decades past. Through a combination of whiz-bang attraction and the real, powerful, accessible tools it provides, a West-County network just might bring us together in a way that older kinds of community organization no longer can.
My hope is that the Intersect project will be successful not as a substitute, but as an Žntre to the face-to-face, shoulder-to-shoulder interactions that I, for one, still enjoy more than cyber-chat. We remain physical beings, in spite of the advent of the information age. We must eat, shit, sleep, and copulate, and such necessities cannot ultimately be satisfied by anything that is 'virtual'. We still live by physical processes satisfied by physical action, and while 'virtual community' may open the door to a new, expanded version of humanity, it can only do so within the context of healthy, physically grounded community.

There is no way Rob could handle administering pages for more than a few West-county neighborhoods. If the Intersect community grows, it will be because you made it. If you would like to assist in polishing the meta-structure of the Intersect pages, or if you want to establish pages for your neighborhood, e-mail Rob. Feel free to go ahead and post pages for your neighborhood: I'll be happy to link to them at your request! I would just like to suggest that maintaining format consistency from neighborhood to neighborhood makes things easier for users.
Of course, if you have ANY suggestions for improving format that I have already established, or for adding new features, don't hesitate to let me know.
