Hmmm....whom shall I start with...??
Because I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings I'll start with the group of girls who have been my closest friends ever since I started college...Leal Beck, Susan Stratton, and Haejin Kim. Collectively we are known around campus as "The Quad"as we have lived together ever since freshman year.
Leal Beck: Leal ("Rhymes with Seal") Beck is a very cool, down to earth person...She always seems to be together (which drives me crazy as I usually can't get my sorry ass out of bed let alone get organized!) and she is a very good friend. Sometimes she does make mistakes however and one of them you can find here.
Susan Stratton: Susan ("Don't call me Sue") Stratton is a woman dear to my heart and is also my roommate this year...She shares many of the same outlooks on life that I do, as well as my Type B personality. She is a great person to talk to and we have had many late - night talks about very philosophical issues...mostly centering on the elusive opposite sex...
Haejin Kim: Haejin ("Hedge-In, hkim1") Kim is a crazy Asian (Korean to be exact) girl that lives with Leal and always finds time to crack me up...She is my shopping partner in crime and is always up for a good butt looking session...:-). I love her dearly and her fashion sense keeps me straight all year round!
There are others besides the quad who I am close to here at Swarthmore...
Cathy Polinsky: Cathy is a one of the very cool WOMEN on my swim team...She is a very good friend of mine and she always makes me laugh with her kooky sense of humor...She hails from Pittsburgh and says "pop" instead of soda which I do NOT agree with but other than that we get along just fine!!
Alastair Thompson: Alastair is one of those rare people you find in this strange thing called life. I really don't know how to describe him as he is so complex but all I can say is that I love him dearly! He was born in Pittsburgh also but lived in England for a good part of his life thus he sports the cutest little British accent this side of the Mississppi! He has a penchant for cross-dressing and at the moment his hair is green...but...sometimes you just have to say...WHAT THE HEY!
THE OLD BOY QUAD
Last year right above our girl quad was a boy quad (very convenient eh?). In it resided the very much loved Dwayne ("Lies") Chambers, Damon Taaffe, Tim ("Mercules") Merkel, and Josh ("Squashrock") Roth.
Dwayne Chambers: "LIES" hails from Jamaica (the island) and he is THE NICEST PERSON IN THE WHOLE WORLD and it makes me sick :-). He is a very Christian person and he helps me keep my life on track...I helped him last year by shopping for him and buying him anti-stink!
Damon Taaffe: Damon is a very interesting person also with a penchant for cross-dressing and I guess the most prominent feature about him is that he is CONSERVATIVE. He hails from Newt's district in Georgia and he is also a debater so watch out all you liberals who happen to cross his path!!
Timbo Merkel: "Mercules" is one of my very good friends here at Swarthmore because he is just so damn funny...even when he is being very OBNOXIOUS. Tim plays football on our lovely team and he is presently pledging to join one of the two fraternity's on campus, Delta Upsilon. This provides amusement for the whole family and I promise pictures later on of the dastardly deeds Tim has done to join this infamous organization! Other than that Tim is a good friend even though he has his problems..such as...his computer...and his horrible bad luck of trees running into him while he is very intoxicated :-)!!

Joshua "Squashrock, Bull (from Night Court)" Roth is also one of my friends here at SWAT. He is an awesome baseball player and very TALL. He also makes me laugh especially with his "boot to the head" tape. He was also my tag team partner last year as he was nice enough to throw me across his room quite a few times...just because I said Oakland, CA was a POSER city compared to NY...go figure!
Okay..there a tons of other people at Swat that I would love to talk about....oh WHOOPS...hold the phone...

Johnathan ("Seinfeld") Suchoboky: "J" also hails from NEW YORK and is also a LONG ISLANDER...and he certainly has the accent to prove it :-)! He is also one of my very close friends even though he has the ANNOYING habit of "paraphrasing" everything that I say...We get into the greatest fights including on the very first night we actually spent time together (he was my SCREW date). He is a very good friend and he is also my church partner...

Very Special Friends:
People always say that the best friends are those you keep for a long time and well THEY'RE RIGHT!!
Garth Graeper: Garth is the nicest person in the Whole Wide World and then some...we knew each other all through high school but we didn't become very good friends until this summer..He is the best listener in the universe and he also cracks me up with his manic look on life!!! He goes to Vassar College and dresses better than I do...but hey I still love him!
Brenda Haendler: Brenda went to high school with me and she is certainly one of my closest friends...Her sense of humor kept me alive during French class and her head butting also kept me awake :-). She is a crazy mech-E, life-guarding chick who lives on LONG ISLAND...but she doesn't have the accent however! She goes to MIT and has a very cool boyfriend named Chris.
