San Francisco

Thursday, August 1, 1996

I just got back from a fun, spontaneous two-day trip down to San Francisco with Noli! We drove down to see Laurie's new apartment and to be with her on her birthday. I had a great time kicking around the city. On Tuesday afternoon we went to Fort Mason, Fisherman's Wharf, Ghirardelli Square and Good Vibrations. That night we went out to eat at the chic jazz club, Eleven, which had stylish patrons, enjoyable live music and tasty foccacia with roasted garlic.

The next day Noli and I went to SFMOMA (the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art), which is showing a special exhibit of artwork by Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera. I really enjoyed seeing that exhibit, as well as a black & white photography show on the second floor. After spending a couple hours in the museum, we walked around downtown, people-watching and shopping.

I got a taste of crazy city driving, and we unfortunately got a $25 parking ticket. All in all, it was a fabulous little trip. I love San Francisco! Maybe someday I'll live there.
