Many fine specimen hollies can be seen throughout the campus; the majority are found in the Frorer Holly Collection, which contains over 200 different species, cultivars and hybrids of evergreen and deciduous hollies.
Located in the Crum Meadow, the collection has been designated an official Holly Arboretum by the Holly Society of America. In 1973, James R. Frorer (Swarthmore alum of 1915), donated this collection to the Arboretum from his garden in Wilmington, Delaware.
