Writing

I think it is a common belief that scientists are not exceedingly adept at communicating their ideas to others. Having read many scientific papers and spoken to numerous scientists, I must admit that this belief has a certain degree of truth to it, but I would also point out that it is not true of all scientists (i.e. Benjamin Franklin or Albert Einstein). By including this section of my own writings I am by no means claiming that my writing even begins to approach that of the greats of science past and present, nor am I trying to set low expectations by claiming that most scientists do not excel in the skill of writing. Instead, my purpose for listing some of my writings here is to demonstrate that at least some students of science are interested in and enjoy writing about topics and issues outside of science. Of course, you as the reader will have to be the judge of whether or not any of this is actually good writing.
